Hotel Atilius

The Hotel Atilius is in via IV Novembre, at the entrance to Limone sul Garda coming from the north, with the lake in front and the rock face behind. The centre of the village, the narrow lanes and the old lemon houses are a few minutes away on foot, but the house is set back enough to stay quiet. Around the building there are more than five thousand square metres of grounds.

It is a four-star property reserved for adults: guests are admitted from sixteen years of age, and the rule applies to the whole house. The rooms are divided between standard, superior, deluxe and junior suite, bright and quiet, many with a view over the water. Anyone travelling with a small dog may bring it, up to two per room, for a supplement.

Pool and wellness area

There is one pool only, outdoors, with a panoramic view over Lake Garda: it is the strong point of the house and on clear days the Verona shore can be seen. The wellness area is small and should be taken for what it is: two outdoor hydromassage tubs for free use, a Finnish sauna at extra cost that is booked in advance, a small equipped fitness area and a relaxation space, both free of charge. There is no Turkish bath, and there are no sensory shower circuits or a massage menu: anyone looking for a full spa should look elsewhere, while anyone who wants a hot tub with a view over the lake at sunset finds exactly that.

The kitchen works with the buffet breakfast, a light bite at lunch in the warm months and dinner served in the evening; the bar stays open until late. There is a twenty-four hour reception, free outdoor parking subject to availability and a shuttle to the centre on request. The Atilius is the right address for a couple who want the upper part of Lake Garda, silence and a view that repays the journey on its own.
