L'Alcova tra gli ulivi is in the Parco degli Ulivi locality, at number 31, in Zoagli, in the province of Genoa. The host writes that the house is on the hill of Sant'Ambrogio, on the border between Rapallo and Zoagli, in the area called Pozzetto, and that it looks out over the Gulf of Tigullio and the Portofino promontory: Booking puts Zoagli beach at two and a half kilometres, Duca beach at 2.4 and Rapallo beach at 2.3. The castle is 1.7 kilometres away, the stations of Zoagli and Rapallo 2.6, the abbey of San Fruttuoso and Castello Brown nine kilometres; Genoa-Sestri airport is forty-one kilometres away and the Genoa aquarium thirty-three.

It is a small bed and breakfast, two rooms only. The double with a sea view measures fourteen square metres and has a double bed, a sea view and a garden view; the single measures eleven and looks onto the garden. Both have air conditioning, free WiFi and a private bathroom with bidet, toiletries and hairdryer. Outside there are the garden, the terrace and free private parking on site; breakfast is a buffet and is included in some rates and not in others. The host adds that in the late nineteenth century the building was an olive mill, that today it is a B&B classified 3 Soli on two levels, and that there are several steps to reach the rooms, which makes the house unsuited to anyone with mobility difficulties.

There is no wellness area: Booking declares no pool, sauna, steam bath or hot tub. What the property puts forward is the garden, the terrace and the position, which guests rated ten out of ten; the page adds that couples give the position ten for a trip for two.

On age there is a single source and it is clear. Booking, in its Child policies block, writes that children are not allowed, and in the following block that cots and extra beds are not available at this property. No figure is published, and the minimum check-in age entry says that no minimum age is required for check-in: these are two different things and the second concerns only whoever turns up at reception. The page was read twice, with a five-year-old in the search and with no children, and the text does not change. We did not find a property website to compare the figure against.
