Description
The Albergo Mio Boutique Hotel is in the locality of Fossalta, the countryside of Lazise that runs down towards Pacengo, at via Fossalta 65. It is the same road as the Canevaworld and Movieland parks, but the house is reached by a tree-lined drive and stays secluded, surrounded by greenery. The beach of Lazise is a little over two kilometres away, and the lakefront and the Scaliger castle are a few minutes by car or bicycle. The building is a nineteenth-century farmhouse, once a convent: Mario Venti and Teresa De Lutiis found it during a holiday on Garda and restored it, and the hotel opened in 1980. Today it is run by Natasha and Fabio, who present it openly as a refuge for adults only.
The rooms come in five types: double, small double, large double, large single and triple. All have air conditioning, a flat-screen satellite television, a wardrobe, a safe, a desk and a private bathroom with a shower, a bidet, a hairdryer and toiletries; in the larger categories there is also a sofa. The whole property is non-smoking. Breakfast is not a buffet but served at the table, chosen à la carte, and it is vegetarian: bread and croissants arrive every morning from the baker in Colà di Lazise, the rest is prepared to order, the coffee is organic and ground by the house baristas, and vegan alternatives are available on request.
Outdoor life is the best part. There is one pool, outdoors, inside an enclosed garden that guarantees quiet, with sun loungers, parasols and the bar a few steps away; beside it is a covered terrace where breakfasts and aperitifs are served, and around it an organic vegetable garden. Anyone travelling out of season should bear in mind one missing detail: the property does not state whether the pool is heated or in which months it stays open, so in spring and autumn it is best to ask for confirmation. Completing the services are free private parking along the drive, wifi throughout the house, the bar and bicycle hire for the surroundings. A wellness area appears nowhere: neither the property's website nor the portal listing mentions a sauna, steam room, whirlpool or treatments, so anyone looking for a spa will not find one here.
On the access rules the two sources say the same thing and do not contradict each other. The official website defines the house as an adults-only refuge, and the booking engine asks how many adults are staying without offering a field for children; the booking portal writes that children are not allowed. Neither source, however, publishes a figure: the property does not state the minimum age in years, and this is the point to have confirmed in writing by anyone travelling with a teenage child. Pets are not allowed.
It suits couples who want the Garda of the parks and the hills without having children in the hotel, anyone who puts the pool and a well-made breakfast at the centre of the day, and anyone who moves about by bicycle. It suits less anyone who wants to step out of the hotel onto the lakefront, and anyone looking for a sauna and treatments.

Frequently asked questions
From what age can you stay at the Albergo Mio Boutique Hotel?
The property publishes no minimum age in figures. The official website defines itself as an adults-only refuge and the booking portal writes that children are not allowed, but neither source indicates from what age a young person is considered an adult. Anyone travelling with a teenage child should ask the property for written confirmation before booking.
What is the pool like and can it be used out of season?
There is one pool, outdoors, in the fenced garden, with sun loungers, parasols and the bar beside it. The property does not state whether it is heated or its opening period, so anyone arriving in spring or autumn would do well to have it checked before booking.
Is there a spa, a sauna or a steam room?
No. The official website lists the facilities one by one, from breakfast to the pool to bicycle hire, and mentions no wellness area; nor does the portal listing indicate one. Anyone looking for a sauna, steam room or treatments should choose another property.
Where is it in relation to Lazise, the lake and the parks?
In the locality of Fossalta, at via Fossalta 65, in the countryside between Lazise and Pacengo: it is the road of the Canevaworld and Movieland parks, which are a few minutes away on foot. The beach of Lazise is a little over two kilometres away and the old centre with the Scaliger castle is reached by car or bicycle.
