Affitta camere Locarno

The first thing to know is the municipality: the property is called Affitta camere Locarno, but the address Booking registers is Via Brione 20, in Minusio, the neighbouring municipality, in the Canton of Ticino. Booking classifies it among rooms in a private house and calls it homestay accommodation: you book rooms inside a house, not a hotel. Locarno station is 1.1 kilometres away and Locarno-Madonna del Sasso 1.2; Piazza Grande in Locarno is 1.7 kilometres away, the Castello Visconteo 2, the Falconeria 2.9, Piazza Ascona 4.8 and the Verzasca dam 5. The restaurants Polo Nord, Centrale and Osteria Costantini are fifty metres away. Milan-Malpensa airport is eighty-six kilometres away. Couples gave the location 8.7 and the facilities scored 9.3.

The house does not accept children and publishes no age at all. In the Children conditions block Booking writes that children are not allowed and adds that the property has no cots or extra beds available; under the next item it states that no minimum age is required for checking in, so there is no figure on the page.

Every unit, Booking writes, has a private bathroom with a shower, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a fridge; some units have a terrace or a balcony with a view over the town or the mountains. The double room measures twenty square metres and has a view of the mountains and the town, air conditioning, a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV and a coffee machine, and is bookable for two people or for one. Among the facilities the page lists a coffee machine, an electric kettle and a fridge, and under the wellness item a whirlpool tub. The WiFi is free.

Arrival falls in a narrow window, between 18.30 and 19.30, and must be notified in advance; departure is between 7 and 11. At check-in a photo ID and a credit card are needed, and Booking warns that payment must be made before arrival by bank transfer, with the instructions the property sends after booking. Smoking is not permitted, parties and hen or stag dos are not held, pets are not allowed, and between 23 and 7 quiet applies.
