The flat is on via Belle, in what the host describes as a residential part of central Ragusa, and guests point out that this is not Ibla: the cathedral of San Giovanni Battista, according to Booking, is five hundred metres away. The entrance is in a yellow building, with a wrought-iron balcony above the door, and guests report that the accommodation is spread over several levels.

Inside there are a bedroom, a bathroom with a shower, a dining area and a kitchen fitted with utensils, built under a wooden beam, with a stone niche left exposed. There are a flat-screen TV, bed linen and towels, air conditioning and free wifi, and parking is free. Guests also have a shared lounge and barbecue facilities. Booking lists an Italian breakfast, also available to take away.

The age rule is published by Booking in the children's conditions block: children are not allowed, and there are no cots or extra beds. The minimum age of eighteen given further down concerns check-in only. There appears to be no website for the property, so the listing is the source.

The outdoor space is the terrace with a view over the city, where the barbecue stands; there is no pool and no wellness area. Donnafugata castle is nineteen kilometres away and Marina di Modica thirty-four, so the sea is reached by car.

Pets are allowed, which is not common among houses that take no children. Ragusa lives all year round, but in summer the centre and Ibla fill with visitors, while in winter the city stays quiet and the weather turns cool up on the Hyblaean plateau.
