Mykonos Bliss - Cozy Suites, Adults Only Hotel

Mykonos Bliss is at Kalo Livadi, on the south-eastern side of the island, perched on the slope that overlooks the beach: four hundred metres from the sea, eight kilometres from the airport, ten from Chora. It is a small house, fifteen rooms and suites, reserved for adults only, built with local stone and white lime according to the Cycladic vocabulary but with contemporary lines.

There are five kinds of accommodation, all for two people and all facing the sea. They start with the Cozy Rooms, between twenty and twenty-four square metres, move on to the roomier Junior Suites, and then come the categories that explain why people come here as a couple: the Premium Jacuzzi Suites, with a private hydromassage tub, and the Honeymoon Bliss and Ultimate Bliss, which have their own private pool looking out over the Aegean. Mattresses and linen are Coco-Mat, and in the room there are a minibar and a Nespresso machine.

The pool and wellness

The centre of the day is the uncovered infinity pool, with the loungers set in the shallow water and the panorama of the open sea in front. Finger food, fruit, coffee and cocktails arrive at the poolside all afternoon.

One honest point, because it is the kind of detail that makes people change their minds: there is no common wellness area here. The official website gives no sauna, no Turkish bath, no gym and no massage cabins. The hydromassage tubs do exist, but they are private and belong to the Premium suites; the same goes for the pools of the Honeymoon and the Ultimate. Anyone looking for a spa route should turn elsewhere; anyone who wants a small, adult house facing the blue, with the beach of Kalo Livadi a few minutes away, is in the right place.
