Description

Le Corti by Dimora Collection is at via Maurizio Bufalini 1, in the old town of Florence, inside the former Oblate complex, a minute's walk from the Duomo. The building is a thirteenth-century convent and what the Oblate nuns left behind is still there: the pietra serena columns, the arches, a Roman wall that stayed underground for more than fifteen hundred years. The restoration, by Antonella Ferragamo and completed in 2024, chose to light those traces rather than cover them, adding glass and contemporary comfort across three levels, from the sauna beneath the vaults up to the terrace. The residence is listed among the historic residences.

How it is laid out

There are only three units, and that explains the kind of stay. The Owner's Suite King Deluxe sleeps up to four, has two bedrooms, 55 square metres indoors and access to the terrace of 150 square metres, shared with one other suite only. The Suite King Deluxe is for two, with one bedroom, 37 square metres and the same terrace. The Standard Room is for two, 30 square metres. All of them have air conditioning, Hypnos mattresses with four types of pillow, a private bathroom with a large shower, Ferragamo toiletries and a smart TV with Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+. The service includes daily cleaning, a concierge in person seven days a week, coffee and snacks offered by the house and luggage storage at any hour. A served breakfast is not stated by the website, which points guests to the neighbourhood bar next to the door for their morning coffee. The shared spaces are the convent courtyard under its glass roof, the cinema room with a hundred-inch screen that doubles as a music room, the gym built into the Roman foundations, and the terrace.

The wellness area, described for what it is

Wellness here means a Finnish sauna built beneath the vaults, along with the gym. There is no pool, and there could not be: this is inside a historic building in the heart of Florence. The website names no steam room, hydromassage tub or treatment cabin, while the booking portal speaks generically of a private spa: anyone after steam should ask for confirmation before booking. The sauna, like the rest of the house, is in practice reserved for adults, because every guest is an adult.

The access rules

The official website writes that Le Corti is an adults only property and repeats it in the list of services, but publishes no minimum age in figures, and the booking portal limits itself to saying that children are not allowed. This page therefore records the full ban on minors together with the fact that no source states a threshold in years: anyone travelling with a sixteen or seventeen year old should ask for written confirmation before booking. Pets are not allowed in any of the collection's residences. Check-in can be arranged at any hour, with notice. The house is inside the Florence restricted traffic zone: taxis and private drivers can reach the door, while guests arriving by car use the paid garages nearby, which arrange the permit. The two larger suites are reached up one flight of stairs.

Who it suits

It suits a couple who want to be inside Florence, a minute from the Duomo, with generous space by old-town standards, and anyone who prefers a house of three units to a hotel. The terrace shared by two suites alone is the strongest card. It suits less anyone who wants a pool, anyone looking for a full spa with a steam room and treatments, anyone who needs breakfast served in the house, and anyone who cannot manage stairs.
