Duomo Square Apartment

The accommodation is in piazza Duomo, at the centre of the old core of Taormina, in the province of Messina: the cathedral is opposite and the restaurants on the square are counted in metres. Booking measures one kilometre from the via Pirandello cable car, which runs down to Mazzarò, one point nine kilometres from the beach of Villagonia and sixty kilometres from Catania Fontanarossa airport. There is private parking but it is paid for, and the property arranges an airport shuttle at extra cost.

It is a two-room flat of sixty-five square metres on the second floor, as the host Luca describes it: a bedroom, a living room, a kitchen fitted with a fridge and a coffee machine, a bathroom with bidet and shower, and a small flower-filled balcony that looks onto the square and the crag above the town. The furnishings are those of a family home, with wooden furniture and terracotta floors. There are air conditioning, free WiFi, bed linen and towels.

The age rule is published by Booking in the children's conditions block: children are not allowed, and there are no cots or extra beds. No source indicates a threshold in years. It should be noted that the host's text, which is older, presents the house as suitable also for a party of three: on the rules what counts is what is published in the property's conditions, which do not admit under-age guests.

Among the services Booking also lists the entry spa and wellness centre, but the page does not say what it includes and the description of the accommodation does not mention it: anyone counting on it had better ask for confirmation beforehand. Neither a swimming pool nor a sauna is declared. Arrival is expected between 15:30 and 21:00 and must be arranged in advance, departure between 06:00 and 10:00. Pets are not allowed.
