Description
Auramonte is in Waldweg, in San Valentino alla Muta, the hamlet of the municipality of Curon Venosta that closes the upper Val Venosta towards the passo Resia. Booking places the house six kilometres from Lake Resia and eight from the Stelvio National Park; Malles Venosta station is indicated as nine kilometres away.
It is not a hotel but a residence: the property presents itself with the myMonte.Rooms apartments in the new building and myAura.Rooms in the pre-existing one. Booking describes units with a flat-screen TV and a kitchen with a fridge, a dishwasher and a hob, a private bathroom with shower, a sitting area and a dining area in all the units, and indicates the property as four-star. There are free wifi, free private parking, the garden, the terrace, luggage storage and an airport shuttle at extra cost.
The rule on age does not concern the stay: on the Booking page, in the children's conditions, it is stated that children of all ages are welcome, with a cot on request for the nought to two band and no minimum age for check-in. The house in fact has a children's play area and a family wellness area, the myAura.Family Spa. The limit lies elsewhere, and it is the property itself that writes it: the sauna and the pool on the roof are presented as Adults Only, reserved for guests aged fourteen and over.
The reserved area is on the roof. The sky pool is a heated pool overlooking the mountains; next to it the website lists the Finnish sauna with the steam pours, the black sauna, the herbal bio sauna and the salt sauna, all with a view over the lake, plus a cold pool, two large relaxation rooms, retreat nooks and a terrace towards the Ortles. The aromatic Turkish bath is not here: the website lists it in the vital area of the myAura.Family Spa, together with the Finnish sauna, the bio sauna and the sensory shower, open to children too. Booking, which does not distinguish between the two areas, summarises the house's provision as sauna, Turkish bath and massages, and flags the open-air pool on the roof with a bar at the poolside.
Breakfast, stated by Booking, is continental or Italian. Pets are not allowed. Around there is the mountain in every season: Booking lists hiking, skiing and bicycle rides among the activities of the property and of the area.
