Aquaboutique Wellness&Spa is at via Costiera Amalfitana 44, on the main road climbing from Marina di Vietri towards the hamlet of Raito, in the municipality of Vietri sul Mare in the province of Salerno. It is the first bend of the Amalfi Coast coming from Salerno, a high outlook over the gulf from which you see the marina, the open sea and, on clear days, the profile of the coast as far as Punta Licosa. The property calls itself a Roof Wellness & Rooms and the formula is just that: a few suites and a panoramic terrace that serves as the communal sitting room, in a modern building suspended between the road and the sea.

The suites are furnished with a contemporary taste that does not go unnoticed and all have a private hot tub with a view, as well as air conditioning, climate-controlled flooring, room service and daily cleaning with a change of linen. Some have a declared personality, like the Blumarine with its aquarium or the Golden Zen Suite, and the pictures from the house show rooms with a theatrical cut, with coloured lights, bamboo gardens and tubs set into the wood. Continental breakfast is served in the room or on the terrace with its sea view.

The wellness area is called THE SENS and is a private couples' spa, not a shared centre: it is booked and used on your own, typically for an hour, with a kit of bathrobe and slippers. Inside there are two hot tubs, one indoors and one outdoors looking over the coast, a Finnish sauna, an aromatised Turkish bath, an emotional shower with aromatherapy and chromotherapy, which alternates warm scented water and cold jets of mint, and a herbal tea corner. The treatment list is wide and includes massages and body rituals based on Dead Sea and Himalayan salt, chocolate, citrus fruit and fruit. There is no pool: anyone looking for a swimming pool will not find one here, and the real swim is at the marina of Vietri, below the property.

On the rules of access the booking portal reports that children are not allowed, so the restriction is total and covers the whole property, spa included. The official website publishes no figure: it does not state from what age guests are admitted, and for this reason this page gives neither eighteen years nor any other number. Anyone travelling with an older teenager should ask for written confirmation before booking. On animals the property takes no position. Check-in is from 15.00 to 20.00 and check-out by 10.00.

The packages published by the house give the measure of what sort of stay this is. Escape of Love puts together two nights in a double suite with a hot tub and sea view, breakfast, an hour of spa, an aperitif at the edge of the tub, wifi and free private parking. Weekly Paradise gives the third night free from Monday to Thursday. Luxury in Love adds champagne and an apericena. There is even a day use formula for those who want only the suite and the aperitif for a few hours. Among the services on request the property lists a solarium, boat trips along the whole coast as far as Capri with an aperitif on board, horse riding, hire of scooters, cars and boats with or without a skipper, transfers to and from airports and stations and a car with driver.

It suits a couple who want two nights on the Amalfi Coast with the tub in the room, a spa all to themselves and Amalfi, Positano, Pompeii and Paestum within driving distance. It suits less anyone looking for a pool, a garden or the spaces of a large hotel: here you stay in a small house facing the coast road, and the noise of the summer traffic is part of the place.
