Booking puts Solothurn West station at two hundred and fifty metres on foot and Solothurn Baseltor station at six hundred; the Bieltor and Chicken Chaoticum restaurants are given at three metres and the Heinz Bar at nine, the Widi wood at two point five kilometres, the Seilpark Balmberg at nine and Bern-Belp airport at forty-six. The score is 9.1 from forty-three reviews, with the location at 9.8, cleanliness at 9.5, facilities at 9.4 and WiFi at 10; couples give the location 10.

The first thing to say concerns the name, because the page has none. On Booking the property is called only "Solothurn", like the town, and that is why this page names it from the address. The second concerns the age, and the answer is that there is none: the conditions write that children are not allowed and add that there are no cots and extra beds available, but no figure accompanies the ban. The only number on the page is the line stating that no minimum age for check-in is required, which is portal paperwork and concerns whoever signs in on arrival, not who may stay. The apartment has no website of its own and is not on sale on any channel independent of Booking: the pages that come up when looking for it elsewhere are resellers republishing the same listing.

It is let whole and for two people. Booking counts forty-five square metres with one bedroom, a double bed and a bathroom, and describes bed linen and towels, a flat-screen TV, a dining area, a kitchen with utensils, the hob, the coffee machine, the electric kettle, the dishwasher and soundproofing. Outside there are a patio and a terrace, and the stated views are of the town, of the mountain, of the garden and of a landmark. There is parking and it is covered, the WiFi is free, and Booking also reports a cash machine. There is no smoking and animals are not allowed.

Two practical matters. Arrival is from 17 to 21 and is to be given to the property in advance; departure is between 7 and 11. Payment for the booking is handled by Booking.com on behalf of the house, which is declared as run by a private host: for extras during the stay it is worth having cash.
