The ananea Hurghada is in El Dahar, the old-town quarter of Hurghada, in a beachfront position sixteen metres above sea level: the property declares around two kilometres to the city centre, thirteen to the international airport, twenty to El Gouna and a hundred metres or so to the nearest shopping centre and pharmacy. It is a new hotel, opened in the summer of 2025, and the formula it declares is that of slow glamour: elegant but not showy, small by Red Sea proportions, designed for anyone who wants to slow down. The ground slopes, the building rises over two floors plus the lift, and the property warns that many approaches are by steps and therefore little suited to anyone with mobility problems.

There are 114 rooms, all non-smoking, in categories that run from the superior double with garden view to the superior double with sea view, the superior double on the beachfront, the deluxe with sea view and the deluxe on the beachfront, between 31 and 35 square metres. All of them have a shower, a hairdryer, air conditioning, a safe, a television, a coffee and tea corner, a furnished balcony or terrace and water in the room on arrival; the minibar is charged by consumption. The two deluxe categories add a whirlpool for one person, which the property specifies is placed inside the room and not on the terrace: it is a detail worth knowing before booking.

On age the house is explicit and there is no need to lean on the portal: in its list of features the website writes that this is a hotel for adults only, reserved for guests aged 18 and over. The booking portal confirms that children are not allowed, while requiring no minimum age for check-in. The rule is an outright one and concerns the beach, the pool and the restaurants. The property specifies besides that it does not accept stag or hen gatherings and does not allow parties and events to be held: it is a house that defends its own silence.

There is a single pool, of fresh water, with parasols, loungers and towels included, and the website answers directly the question that matters: yes, the pool is heated in the winter season. No indoor pool is on record. The beach is of fine sand, private and reserved for adults, with parasols, loungers and towels; the sea, the house says, is the turquoise, calm one you expect from this stretch of coast.

The wellness side is essential and it must be said: there is no wet area. The property declares massages and beauty treatments for a charge, partly entrusted to outside providers, and no source declares a sauna or a steam bath, so this entry does not record them. Sport, by contrast, is well looked after: there is an outdoor fitness area set inside an air-conditioned glass pavilion, with aerobics and yoga classes included in the stay, and the portal adds cookery and fitness lessons.

The formula is all inclusive: a buffet breakfast with a second breakfast until midday for late risers, buffet lunch and dinner, drinks included from 10 to midnight among soft drinks, coffee, tea, beer, house wine, cocktails and local spirits, and coffee with pastries between 15.30 and 17. There are an à la carte restaurant and a buffet restaurant with a terrace, as well as the beach bar, the lobby bar, the pool bar and the restaurant bar, plus a souvenir shop and a mini market. Wifi is in the room and in the common areas, reception is open twenty-four hours, there is parking and the house languages are English and German. Pets are not allowed.
