Amaril Eco Suites

The Amaril is in Castelbello, the village that gives its name to the municipality of Castelbello Ciardes, in Alte Strasse, on the floor of the Val Venosta among the apple orchards and below the castle that commands the road. Merano stays down the valley, the Val Senales and the Val Martello open out nearby. It is a boutique hotel built with local materials and energy-saving criteria, made up of suites and apartments, and it receives guests aged fourteen and over: no small children, no play area, a house designed for anyone who wants silence.

Pools on the roof and a sauna world

Water is the strong point. The main pool is twenty metres long, heated to thirty-two degrees all year round, and connects the indoor part to the garden, so you get in under cover and swim out into the open air even in March. On the terrace above is the second pool, an infinity pool for relaxing, heated, where you float above the village rooftops with the peaks of the Venosta in front of you. Both are reserved for the house's adult guests.

The sauna world includes the Finnish sauna, the hottest, with the ice fountain beside it for the contrast, the bio sauna at gentler temperatures for anyone with delicate circulation, and the steam bath with full humidity. So yes, there is a steam bath. The relaxation rooms are panoramic and face the greenery, and after the sauna you find water, apples and dried fruit. It is worth knowing in advance that in the shared wellness area there is no whirlpool: the pools with jets are private and belong only to the penthouse suites and the attic apartments, on their terraces.

Massages and beauty treatments, a fitness room and yoga classes complete the offer. Suited to couples looking for design, real sustainability and a quiet base for walking or cycling in the Val Venosta.
