Description
Amarcord private Spa is at Via Ettore Fieramosca 11A, just below the old centre of Ostuni, in the province of Brindisi, in the lower part of the White City from which you climb up to the village on foot in about ten minutes. The portal puts the column of Sant'Oronzo at seven hundred metres, Porta Nova and the Palazzo Ducale at around a kilometre, Ostuni station at a little over three kilometres and Costa Merlata, with the sea, at ten. The Torre Guaceto nature reserve is thirty-five kilometres away, Brindisi airport thirty-six.
A word first about the source, because here it changes how the entry is to be read. The property has no official website: there is no page of its own from which to draw floor plans, opening hours and fittings, and everything that follows is declared on the booking portal by the host, who is called Ingrid and speaks seven languages. Where the portal is silent, this entry is silent: it does not mean a feature is missing, it means no one has put it in writing.
There is one unit only and it is let as a whole: sixty square metres, one bedroom and one bathroom, spread over two levels in Mediterranean style. The lower floor is carved into the local rock and houses the relaxation area, with a whirlpool, a shower with jets and chromotherapy, all inside what the host describes as a natural cave; the bathroom is separated by smoked glass, spare and private. On the upper floor is the sleeping area, with air conditioning, a fridge, a kettle, a coffee machine, a bluetooth speaker and a small bar with two high stools. The bed is a French-style double. Towels and bed linen are provided, and the private bathroom has a bidet, a shower and toiletries.
The wellness area is therefore a private spa for the exclusive use of whoever occupies the unit, not a centre open to other guests: it is the reason the property is called what it is, and the reviews almost always mention the tub. The portal declares no sauna, steam bath or pool, and since there is no website of the property there is no second source to compare: anyone looking for them must ask before booking, without taking them for granted.
On the rules of access the portal is blunt and writes that children are not allowed, so the restriction is an outright one and applies to the whole unit, relaxation area included. No figure is published, though: the property does not say from what age you are admitted, and the note on the minimum age for check-in, which is not required here, concerns whoever puts the booking in their name and not accompanied minors. For this reason the entry reports neither eighteen years nor any other threshold. There are no cots or extra beds, pets are not allowed, there is no smoking and no parties are held, stag or hen gatherings included.
Among the declared services are free wifi throughout the unit, measured by the portal at 58 Mbps, free parking on site in an area where finding a space is not a given, air conditioning and a bar. Arrival is from 15.30, with the time to be given in advance, and departure by 11.00.
It suits a couple who want two or three nights in Ostuni with a whirlpool inside the rock and the old centre on foot, with no children around. It suits less anyone looking for a property with hotel services, a pool or a real wellness centre, and anyone who wants long stays with shared spaces.

Frequently asked questions
From what age can you stay at Amarcord private Spa?
The restriction is an outright one, but the number is not published. The booking portal writes that children are not allowed, and the property has no official website from which to draw a figure: for this reason the entry gives no threshold. Take care not to confuse the figure with the minimum age for check-in, which is not required here and concerns whoever puts the booking in their name.
What is the private spa like?
It is the relaxation area on the lower floor, carved into the local rock and described by the host as a natural cave, with a whirlpool, a shower with jets and chromotherapy. The bathroom is separated by smoked glass. It is for the exclusive use of whoever occupies the unit, because the property is let as a whole and houses a single room.
Is there a pool, a sauna or a steam bath?
None is on record. The booking portal, the only source available because the property has no website of its own, declares the relaxation area with its whirlpool and chromotherapy and names no pool, sauna or steam bath. It is not a denial by the owners, but these are undocumented features: it is worth asking before booking.
Can you bring the dog, and where do you park?
Pets are not allowed. Parking, on the other hand, is free on site, a concrete advantage in this part of Ostuni, and guests often mention it together with the old centre being within walking distance. No cots or extra beds are available.
