Alpinhotel Vajolet

The Alpinhotel Vajolet is in via San Giorgio, in the village of Tires al Catinaccio, the snug valley floor that opens between the Sciliar and the towers of the Catinaccio, above the Val d'Ega. It is a family-run four-star hotel, carried on by four brothers, with a modest number of rooms and a clear rule on age: guests are received from the age of fourteen upwards, so no small children, no noise from a games room, and the wellness area stays quiet even at peak hours.

Warm water outdoors, all year round

There is a single pool and it is outdoors, but it is heated to thirty-three degrees and stays in operation twelve months a year: it means you swim in the open air even in March, with the snow still on the meadows and the steam rising from the water. Next to it there is the outdoor whirlpool, warmer, and a meadow with sunbeds for drying off in the sun. Anyone looking for an indoor pool to use when it rains will not find one here, and it is right to know that beforehand.

The heat circuit includes the Finnish sauna, with its dry climate, and the steam bath, damper and at a moderate temperature, so the answer to the question about the steam bath is yes. In summer, when the sauna is too much, there is the infrared cabin. Cooling down goes through the multifunction shower, and for afterwards there are the relaxation room with sunbeds and low music and the free tea corner.

The massages and the face and body treatments work with the natural products of a South Tyrolean line. The paths for walks and snowshoe outings start in front of the door, and in winter a private shuttle runs to the Tires gondola and to the Carezza ski area.
